See what kindy is all about

Aunty Lesley is a respected Torres Strait Islander Elder who strongly believes in early education for all children.

She works closely with parents and carers in her community and knows it can sometimes be difficult for families to find the right support for their child’s early education.

Aunty Lesley said there are people who can help you find ways to make kindy more affordable, get the right transport options for your family, and even someone who can support you to get your child’s birth certificate to enrol in kindy.

‘There’s support there,’ she said,

‘The most important thing is just to get there and see what it’s all about.’
