A look into a quality approved kindy program

A look into a quality approved kindergarten program

Join Amali and her qualified kindy educator, Kirby, at their approved kindy program and learn how the National Quality Standard (NQS) sets the benchmark for the quality of education and care services.

You’ll come away with a better understanding of what a quality service is so you can make informed decisions about the very best education and care for your child; and know what questions to ask at your service.

Every service in Queensland is assessed and rated under the NQS, and services should have their rating on display. You can ask your service to see their ratings or view it online.

The NQS sets a benchmark for quality education and care services by identifying 7 standards which are essential to delivering quality educational and developmental outcomes for children.

Kindy is a part-time educational program available to children in the year before they attend school.

Kindy allows children to learn basic social, numeracy and literacy skills.

A year of kindy helps children transition to school.
